<\/a>Bird control and Bird removal is one of the most relevant problems in large cities such as Jacksonville FL, Los Angeles CA, Houston TX and many other large US cities. There are many different ways to attempt to control nuisance birds, but only a few work.\u00a0Here is what\u00a0we found to be effective and ineffective.<\/p>\nTrapping (physical removal) of the birds is the only permanent solution to your bird problem.\u00a0\u00a0There are times when this method is not possible.\u00a0\u00a0This is where the methods mentioned\u00a0below come in handy.\u00a0 All the methods will work to\u00a0control \u00a0birds to\u00a0some extent.\u00a0 Some are better than others, but all will work in the short-term.<\/p>\n

- Bird Exclusion (will work but is usually very costly)<\/li>\n
- Bird Scare devices (does work, but its a temporary fix)<\/li>\n
- Bird Spikes (we have seen birds build nest on them)<\/li>\n
- Bird Repellent (makes their feet hot- come on, did you really think that would work?)<\/li>\n
- Bird Trapping and Relocation ( they are birds, they will fly back)<\/li>\n
- Trapping (The Only Permanent Solution<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The National Pest Control Association,\u00a0 Avian and Wildlife Biologists, and other animal agency experts agree that\u00a0repellents and other removal and control\u00a0schemes are, at best, a\u00a0temporary, noneffective waste of money.<\/p>\n
Bird Trapping<\/strong><\/p>\n
Bird trapping is easy!\u00a0 It requires a bird trap, some time and some whole kernel corn which you can find at the local feed store.<\/p>\n
You pre-bait the area, let them get used to eating the corn and then set the trap.\u00a0 Tthe birds will\u00a0go into the trap baited with corn.\u00a0Now you have, a trap full of birds. Its up to you what\u00a0to do with them. Birds that are simply released will fly back in as little as 1 day.\u00a0 They may even beat you back from the release point (no traffic for them). There are several types of birds that are a problem in big cities. They are Pigeons, House Sparrows, Crackles, Geese and several other types of birds depending on where in the US you are located.
