Rat Disease and Rat Removal

Rats Mice Removal and ControlRat and Mice are some of the nastiest animal we deal with, they carry many different types of disease and parasites. They are known to have invaded cities and towns and have their population explode. Rats and mice reach sexual maturity at 5 weeks and can produce up to 10 to 15 babies in each litter. Rats and mice can have up to 8 litters a year!  Yes that’s right, up to 100 babies per year per rat.

They have a gestation period of 22 days. When a female Rat has her babies, the total time of delivery is aprox 1 hour.  That is a baby rat  every 6 minutes. The growth rate for baby rats is very fast, going from a total hairless baby rat to sexually active member of rat society in less than 4 months.

Rats are responsible for several very famous events in history like the Black Plaque.  The Black Plague started in China where infected rats and mice passed the disease to fleas and the disease quickly spread to humans and over 25 million people died. That’s right folks, 25,000,000 people died because of a rats and disease.  Then there was the Bubonic Plaque.  Similar to the Black Plaque, this effected human lymph nodes. The mortality rate for the Bubonic was about 75%, meaning that 3 out of 4  people who got it, died. To sum it up, Rats and Mice are not a welcome creatures in your house or home.
