Ring Neck Snake

Ring neck snakes are a common occurrence in the spring and late summer months in the eastern part of the U.S, Mostly found in the North East in places like Virginia, Maryland , Washington DC and all points North. This little Garden variety of snake is a very good snake to have around your home, their diet includes ants, Crickets and all other Pest bugs that we humans have a dislike for. These Ring Neck snakes are on average 6-10 inches long when they are found.

They are usually found in great numbers. Most of the time where you find one, you find 10.  This is because these snakes have just been hatched. It usually takes a couple of days for the snakes to disperse into the wild away from your home. These Ring neck snakes are not dangerous(unless you just don’t like snakes) to have around. If you fell uncomfortable having these snakes around and are not OK with handling them, you should call a professional snake removal company.
Thes esnakes are usually found in resedentila house, Garages, outbuildling and many other places that is common to both humans and animals.
One thing you can do to assure you do not get ring neck Snakes is to make sure the pest control around your home is kept current. Kill the food source and the snakes will not be there. Other than that some exclusion work can be done and physical removal is the only way to solve this very common snake problem. To find a snake removal expert in your local area click here.
